I wanted to make this up for all the people getting ACEESS VIOLATION ERRORS. So here we go I have been testing a 1020a card now for 4 days. I got mine to work now with no errors.
First let me explain something I put my working setup in a 500Mhz machine and it will not run! TO SLOW! I have a 1.4 AMD machine with a 128 MB video card and 512 Memory while I have MT running my 1.4 machine is using 97% of the processor and 336 of 512 MB of the memory. Every time my processor hit 100% I get ERROR!
Now with that being said I have found a couple of things out.

I was trying different things to see if I could get this error so far I can get this error by doing a couple of things I had my antivirus software running while MT was and as I checked the Performance in Task manager my processor was redlined GOT ERROR
I also get this error with my network connection enabled. WEIRD HUH! But if I shut it down NO ERROR! Also I clicked on winamp I got ERROR.

Second I also got this error by changing the Video Renderer and the video Decoder in the AutoGraph tab in general settings of MT. One thing here so listen ONLY CHANGE THESE SETTINGS ONE AT A TIME And restart MT after each change.
When you change these settings The processor usage changes I have seen it! Mine likes the CYBERLINK DTV VIDEO DECODER with the VIDEO MIXING RENDERER 7 if I change just one of these settings I GET ERROR! Now sound! for the SOUND RENDERER Pick your sound card from the drop down menu! Many people don’t do this and it does cause this ERROR Mine works with many sound DECODERS!

EPG
Wow this is another bag of worms here! I use MyEPG for 2 reasons. It doesn’t spike my processor when I switch to the guide and I don’t get ERROR while it is running. I used another and it spiked my processor every time I went to the guide I got ERROR. I have to say the EPG settings in MT needs a shut off button! If you are using a different EPG program make sure you have some settings in MT shut off it will help! So do this!
Go to settings in MT General settings and click the EPG tab Now mine is set at this!
Use DVB core parser leave that one checked and check EXTERNAL MANAGER! But leave the field below blank and resart MT!
This will give you another 10 to 15% more CPU. It stopped some of the little glitches in my video I have tested it!

Now here is something I learned from getting this error. By deleting the settings.ini file from the MT directory and rebooting the puter you don’t need to reinstall MT. Just reboot puter after deleting the settings.ini file and click on the MT icon and it will create a new one and you wont lose the channels already scanned but you will lose all those settings you changed in MT. (like remote changes and renderer settings and EPG settings)
So do this Bring up MT and go to the general settings and make all of your changes in MT before ever opening any channel. Close MT and go to the MT directory and save your settings.ini file to your desktop. If MT errors out on you again just copy and paste the saved settings.ini file to the MT directory. Now you don’t need to reconfigure your MT settings again.

It has been said before but I am going to say it again. MT likes using the FAVORITES better than the ALL channels. I may have did it wrong but I manually put the channels I liked into a favorites I named mine ALL MINE. It ran a lot better and longer before ERROR by doing this Plus you get rid of those pesky channels that give you ERROR. Now I use MyEPG and after setting all my channels into favorites I switched MyEPG to favorites in the setting of MyEPG Right click anywhere in the widow of MyEPG and go to OPTIONS A menu will appear click the Filters tab first menu is DEFAULT FILTER click the drop down tab and select FAVCHANS and in the second box select your favorite you made or are going to use. Close everthing out and restart MT now when you hit the EPG button you always get your favorite guide not the all channel guide. Also by using the favorites my remote works better than it did! I can now go to the right on the guide and see what is on tomorrow if I want. Some of you guys know what I am talking about.

Now I am not saying that this is the actual problem for the ACCESS VIOLATION ERROR! But by doing these things I have not got error since! Let me explain if my 1.4 machine is being taxed that hard I don’t see how a slower machine with less than 400MB of memory could handle it That’s my opinion! Also I know the processor speed might only be one aspect of it but I am only stating what I have tested so far! And what has worked for me All I know is if my processor ever hit 100% I got an ERROR!

Hope that helps guys It worked for me!
