Ok, here's the deal. This is for all the folks out there that have got an old Coolsat 4,5,6k, Digiwave, Orasat, Coship, Mvidea, etc. that is collecting dust on the shelf. We all have one of those boxes that is now unsupported and not good for much but true FTA. This your chance to trade your "worthless" receiver for a top of the line Sonicview 8000HD (http://www.viewsats.com/receivers_and_accessories/viewsat_sonicview_receivers/sonicview_sv_8000_hd.htm).

Here's all you have to do:

Tell us, or better yet, show us the best, coolest, funniest, or most creative use for your old unsupported receiver. Using a Coolsat 4000 for a doorstop? Shooting beer cans off your Megasat with your shotgun? Tell us about it. Post a video. Take a picture. Photoshop a picture. Write a story. Be creative. Post your pictures, videos, or just tell us the story of the pitiful use you are getting out of your dead, unsupported, receiver.

Since there was no support for my 2 cs4 and cs5 i use my cs4 as a clock and i use mycs5 as a support for my computer desk one of my computer desk was boken so i just put in underthere ii must say it work every nice.

Last weekend I threw (2) CS4000's in the bonfire, if I had known about this I would have made a video of it. It was pretty cool and felt good too (lol).

Currently my CS5K is being used by my 5 year old as a dance floor for her barbies and baby dolls! Better hope that one of those Barbies doesn't decide to do any fancy breakdancing moves or bye bye CS5K!!!! It has also been known to be used as a step stool once or twice (for the same 5 year old)! Boy do I need a new receiver and I guess I had better purchase my daughter a real step stool.

Well it was simple I had a worthless and unsupport reciever....and FORTEC....and one day my four children where asking if they could do something with the reciever and get it working. I told them there was no chance as there was no programs being release for the reciever for the reciever anymore. So my one son....so you mean its garbage then daddy.....I told them up.....so he looked at me and said I have an idea, can we go out and use it as a hockey puck and let slip around in the snow....I said sure....out they when and it was funny....not only did they break four hockey stick but they had hockey night in Canada in the street with the worthless reciever....and smash the hell out of it.....IT WAS A CLASSIC and VERY FUNNY. My son came in and said to me...wow Daddy that was hard not only did our sticks get it hard but the reciever the hell kicked out of it and now I am wiped....that was hard work.

Short use of a freebie coolsat6000 ... hadn't even learned much about fta before they stopped making files for it ... so now it's used in the barn as a night light for the horses. Only problem is ... I'm finding now.... I figure they can read time now and start nickering and kicking at stalls and chewing fence boards before 6 am ... forgot to daylight savings time !

Since they have a small radio to listen to music to ... I've had to change it to a station where they don't announce what time it is cause we figure ... they have figured out also the " six " word. Makes perfect horse sense to me ... be no more horsin' around about feed times ... :DI need that extra hour beauty sleep lol

I have my cs4 i put right next to my bed. so when i get up every moring i can see that i am a dumb a$$ because when i had the change i could have bought a viewsat ultra but instead i bought this piece of crap for a reciver. So i lost my $80 because i only had my cs for about a year.:taz::taz::taz:

I have 2 coolsats 1 4000 and one 6000 I now use them as legs for a router table. The idea came to me while we where finishing construction of my house, I could not get a level suface to support the four legs while setting on top of milk creates I looked around for somthing a I saw the old coolsats sitting in a pile of old electronic stuff that I was going to scrap. Anyway I grabed the receivers put them under the legs of the router table but the table legs slipped off the top of the receivers. So getting P.O'ed I sat back for a second and I got it take the legs off the router table, stand the receivers on their side and mount the table to the receivers I put a couple of screws in the table to anchor it to the old coolsats. Then I put the router up on the milk creates but I had forgoten one thing I flipped the router upside down a removed a couple of the cabinet screws and put in 4 #8 X 2" screws to keep it from sliding off the milk creates. And wow it worked I got the height I needed and a sturdy and level surface. Now as anyone knows that the trim work is the final stages of constuction meaning your work area is now filled with all the left over wood, tools any thing you can't leave out side and of coarse all the new appliances and furnature that was delivered in april to go right in to the new house and it is september but you get the trim work done then you find out support is coming back for your receivers P.O'ed again. It is now november and now I have just enough room in my garage to park the lawn mower. Maybe when I have some time I look at my router table to see if I hit any wires or the board with any screws and If I didn't flash the worlds only FTA capable router table. Hey I can see it now a whole new line of tools from sears the craftsman fta line.

I went fishing with a friend and ask him to throw in the anchor and he did the only problem was i forgot to tie the anchor to the boat. Guess what I use now :)
