How to load your CoolSat right out of the Box
1. The unit should be already turned off,If not turn it off by the switch on the back.
2. Plug in serial cable from your computer to CoolSat.
3. Turn the Coolsat on by the switch on the back. You should see the clock if not turn the coolsat off in the Front.
4. Run CoolSat Pro Loader v.2.2
5. The Firmware Tab should be defaulted but if not select it. download is automatically picked.
6. Use the browse button and find the .stb bin file (ex. COOLSAT4000_130p_*********.stb). This is the Full Epg with AutoRoll CC(close caption),and AC3 audio.
7. Press the Auto_Detect button after selecting the right com port setting.Com1 is defaulted. (You should see Version (what ever is currently loaded ex.1.28,) detected... If all is right)
8. Press the Connect button.(if all is correct you will see Version (what ever is currently loaded ex.1.28,) detected...) If yes then click the start button.
9. Wait until the download is complete.Do not make the simple mistake and click cancle as some have, once its complete it will say start.
10. Click finish after download is complete.
11. Next select the Channels tab.Select the download option(which is defaulted).
12. Browse for the channel list of your choice.double click it (NDf file only)
13. Select the Connect button.(You should see Version (what ever is currently loaded ex.1.28,) detected... If all is right)
14. Wait until the download is complete.Do not make the simple mistake and click cancle as some have, once its complete it will say start.
15. Click finish
16. Turn CoolSat off by the back button.
17. Hook up all cables then turn it on by the back button.
18. When you turn on the coolsat from the front choose your language
(ex: English) scroll to it and click ok on your choice.
19. At this point you should have tv.Enjoy it. Thanks to the coolsat team for such a great product.
Side notes: You should never plug or unplug any cables while the coolsat unit is plugged into the power outlet. This includes your serial rs 232 cable.
If you have attempted to load your coolsat before reading these instructions.The do the following
This is only to do if you have tried to load your coolsat pro before reading this and it has messed up or you want to make sure you did it right.
This may or may not work if you have recieved a error.
1. Plug your cables up to your TV and turn the reciever on from the back (and the front)
2. Click Menu
3. System settings
4. Database reset
5. Enter pin (0000)
6. Factory reset (warning Do you want to reset all data?(choose yes)
7. Please wait untill it is done
8. Turn off the reciever in the Front and follow the instructions above
