This setup has worked perfectly on 2 VS Xtreme receivers with the new 500 HD Plus dish. I did not try the settings on any other receivers or dishes. This information was collected from this and different forums and I do not take credit for it, I only made it clean and simple. If you are ready to follow instructions, here you go:
Reset receiver to "Factory Default"
Load Factory BIN
Load Latest BIN - DO NOT SCAN ANYTHING UNTIL I LIST IT BELOW
Now time to edit TPs
Go into the "CHANNEL SCAN" Menu so you can edit TPs
Under EchoStar 7 (119 W) scroll down to TP list
Delete the following: 12224 TP (This Spot Beam is for different Satellite)
Now exit and SAVE
Under EchoStar 8,10 (110 W) scroll down to TP list
Delete the following: 12239 TP (This will eliminate duplicate channels since it's for the 119 Sat)
Now exit and SAVE
Now open the Satellite Menu list and change the following settings;
Satellite: EchoStar 8,10 or (110 W)
LNB Power.............. ON
LNB Type............... OSC-Dp
LNB Freq................ 11250
22KHz.................... OFF
TP Freq.................. 12224
Search Option.......... ALL
DiESqC 1.0............... Port 2
Motor...................... OFF
Legacy SW............... None, unless you are using some type of switch
Exit and SAVE
Satellite: EchoStar 7, or (119 W)
LNB Power.............. ON
LNB Type............... OSC-Dp
LNB Freq................ 11250
22KHz.................... OFF
TP Freq.................. 12239
Search Option.......... ALL
DiESqC 1.0............... Port 1
Motor...................... OFF
Legacy SW............... None, unless you are using some type of switch
Exit and SAVE
NOW go to installation menu, Auto Scan and perform the channel scan FOR 110 & 119 ONLY. DO NOT BLIND SCAN
Now time for 118.7 settings, although a lot of people are trying to add the .SAT file for the 118.7, Ididn't. I worked off the 121 ONLY, but you have to edit the TP list before configuring or scanning it, here we go:
Go into the "CHANNEL SCAN" Menu so you can edit TPs
Under EchoStar 9 (121 W) scroll down to TP list
Now edit your TP list exactly like this:
1 11715 20000 V 3/4
