about the external hard drive?

Hi everyone...
i am hopping to get the answer to my question, i am trying to buy an external hard drive for my ultra viewsat so that i can record some of my favorite shows. i have viewsat ultra and i am hopping to get some help and if there will be something that works what kind of device i have to buy.

If you are hoping that the Ultra wlil record for you then you are out of luck. You need a VS Pro or 7000 or 9000 for recording. The VS Ultra does not record TV shows. You can back up sat/channel files on a USB stick but that's it.

Your vs Ultra is not a PVR.. buying an external hard drive will not allow you to do anything with it.. you can get a dvr and record from your vs ultra, but the ultra does not support pvr.. the usb on there are only use for usb flash upgrades..
