no doubt admin have their reasons but doesn't seem real member friendly to not be able to upload files. This morning i seen that none of the current cw files were posted and lots of peeps asking in chat about them. Subsequently lots getting banned for repetitivly asking for files and other for posting links to outside sites. I informed 2 mods in chat that there were files available and neither posted them ...so then i went to try only to find that this priviledge had been taken away. Just my $0.02 worth but hey its ur site ..!!!

The reason is that others were posting ..but the postings were re-routing our members to other sites...not good...Sorry you feel that way....but we have to protect our members.

Very well said brutus. When members post redirects to another site we cannot verify that anyone or anything on that site is safe. We all work hard here to answer questions, move posts to proper sections, and in general make this hobby enjoyable for our users. When the safety and enjoyment is compromised by one member we have to take measures to ensure that it doesn't happen again. Is it fair to those who follow the rules? Absolutely not. We're only thinking of the safety of the rest of our users who do follow rules and make this site one of the best sites around.

I completely agree with you and thanks for bringing it to my attention. I like to foster a site that promotes community and not hand-outs. File posting has been re-enabled for ALL members. From this point on, they will go into a brief moderation que to allow staff to check the links though.

We are working on a new, innovative file server that will allow faster and easier posting and downloads. Bare with us for a bit and the file situation will be even better! ;)
