To clone a CW800 to another CW800 with the USB.

First;
Put a thumb drive in the USB port of the 800 you want to clone.
Press USB menu.
Press (FAV) button to upload.
Select (YES) and press O.K.
Exit

Remove the thumb drive, and on it you will have a
Captive Works Data Base File
SDX File
32 KB

Now you have two options:

(Option one): To clone a CW800 straight from the thumb drive.

Put the thumb drive in USB port of CW800 to be cloned.
Press USB menu.
High lite the Captive Works database file and press O.K.
Change to (YES) and press O.K.
When loaded press Exit.
Then Press Menu
Select System Settings, ok
Select User Channel List, ok.
Select Save, ok.
Select Yes, ok.
Enter your name,( ie. The Bo.) then press the Red button on the remote marked Audio.
Press Exit until you get back to watching TV.

First Quirk I found is; On a New out of the box 800. You have to put the latest bin file in first.
Than you can do this clone, and not even haffta hit f1 o o o

(Option Two): You can send that file to a buddy

Stick your thumb drive in your computer, and attach the file to an e mail. Send it off to a buddy thats having a problem or a glitch. He can download that file, put it on a thumb drive and follow the same instructions above.

Maybe your buddy just wants "ALL" the channels you have without scanning...

Something to keep in mind, when doing any cloning to any STB is, The other STB may not be using the same antenna settings, for example; LNB's, Switches, frequencies, ext. That would be just a matter of going in and changing them to suit the hardware.
