How to Use Winrar (with Pic's)

This is causing alot of confusion. It is one of the easiest programs to operate.
This is used for .rar and .zip files...(and a whole lot of others) but we're just going to concentrate on these 2...zip and rar.

First, download Winrar...

Ok, here's how to use winrar...

1) Download your file. then open the location where the file is.

2) Double click on the file,and it will open Winrar.

3) Then, highlight the file ,and click the "extract" button at the top (red circle around it)

4) when the window opens up to ask where you want to extract it to, choose desktop.

Thats all there is to it. You can even double click on the file, and when Winrar opens, instead of highlighting it and clicking extract, you can just drag it to your desktop. It's very easy to use.

Why are all the files coming out in RAR filis now and no more zip

It doesn't matter what the extension is...rar, zip, tar, ....this will open any of them...there is no specific reason why they do rar or zip...whatever they choose is what they compress it in...just follow the directions, and no matter what it's compressed with, this will open it...
