Fallen Angel just posted a very good thread on hijacking. Here's my thread on forum etiquette. When you start a thread requesting help you have many willing helpers with many different things to try and solve your problem. Normally you go through the outlined steps to get your stb working, correct? Here's what I want from each one of you.

1. A follow up post thanking the person or people who helped you. They are taking their time to lend a helping hand to this community. A simple thank you would be nice and I know getting one might give some incentive to return and help again.

2. The follow up post will also give future readers in need of help with the exact same problem in your thread an idea of how to fix their stb instead of having to start their own thread.

So basically this helps users in 2 ways to make this an even better community than it already is. Be courteous and give a quick thank you with details of the advice you tried that got you back up and running again. If you figured out the issue on your own posting in the thread is a plus too as it still might help some future user figure out their problem. So don't be shy get in there and do some follow up work ;)

Thank you for reading and enjoy your forum experience.
