Last nite while driving home, i started to think..Now when the system went from Nag 1 to nag 2, Just what were the steps implemented for the switch..Did One have to buy new recievers for this process, and if not just what were the steps to get the recievers back up..Now once Nag 3 is cracked do you think the same steps would be implemented to get you back up or do you have to come out of pocket.

Current receivers should be able to handle Nagra 3 as is...In other words, there should be no additional parts or anything else like that which would be needed,,,just a different firmware file for the receiver to be able to read the new stream...It should not impact any receivers..
This is just in my opinion

Nothing will kill your recievers...
You will be happily watching N3 in the comfort of your home. No one knows *when* though...

I have a phillips 3700 that came with the blue nag1 cards, and when they did that switch i recall they send us new yellow nag2 cards and i had to call dn and have them authorise the new cards, and then plug my reciever into the phone line and sit back for about 20 minutes and wait.

This time it was much better - i plugged in my new purple nag3 card and in 2 minutes everything worked, no call to DN, no plug receiver into phone line, etc.
