Coolsat 4000-6000 Conversion To Skyview

Instructions Jtag for Coolsat
1. Open Jtag Diagram and attach connections as per diagrams for your unit. Exclude resistors and diodes but assure all connections are clean and do not touch other conductive points or components. Be sure on both models to ground to one of the chassis screws.
2. Plug DB 25 Connector into Paralell port with PC off.
3. Turn on PC and turn on IRD.
4. Open WALL.exe close error regarding ID
5. Press reset settings, may take a few attempts but you will see, all 8's or 6's or - - - - example <8.8.8.8> or I have found on some IRD’s it only flickers once but doesn't remain lit, and then minimize but do not close.
6. Open SkyMAx and click <Start>, then <Erase> then <Write> and select the bin for your receiver.
Original Coolsat Flash
Verify that it completed writing without DCU or RAM load errors.
7. Turn off IRD, and unplug Paralell cable from PC with the PC off but do not remove the Jtag yet.
8. Turn on IRD and if you see lights return and should return to showing channel <0000>, turn off the IRD and remove JTag.
9. You can now return to programming via RS232 and transfer bins as per your usual practice for your equipment.
