How to set up a USB to Serial Drivers for .....XP, Vista, Vista2
USB to Serial Driver -set up Instructions

Now you can use serial cables to program from your laptop. Connect your receiver and laptop with this USB-to-serial port adapter.
Please follow the instructions below to set the right COM port:
Setup Instructions
STEP 1: Install the Software
First, download and install the driver for your version of Windows (see above)
Note: there are separate drivers for Windows XP and Windows Vista
STEP 2: Plug-in the Hardware
Connect the USB-to-serial adapter to your PC's USB port, and follow the on-screen instructions
STEP 3: Set the Right COM Port
Right click on MY COMPUTER then click PROPERTIES
Click HARDWARE, then DEVICE MANAGER
Double click PORTS (COM & LPT), and look for PROLIFIC USB-to-SERIAL Comm Port
Double click that to open it
Then click PORT SETTINGS, then ADVANCED
Change the COM PORT NUMBER to COM1
Then click OK
If you get a warning message, click YES
Then click OK, and close DEVICE MANAGER
Finally, restart your PC
