current status

hi, just found it very unsettling today in satchat. I came home to find my receiver down and looked to Current Status which had a green light with no notations that anything was freezing, down, etc. i went into satchat and asked a simple question, if cnx was down?, I would never have asked if the current status was up to date which would help so that maybe people would not flood chat with asking same questions. I also, before asking question, scrolled down to see if anyone else had mentioned cnx being down and i did not see anything, so was not repeating an earlier reply that i could see. Just please understand that some people do follow the rules, do read first, and are not retards:)

I got that too. Only thing I could think is who ever in charge of it, is still working like most of us or don't watch it often, like me,, so they don't know and update.

If...and only IF the status is not updated...Which only happens if the ECM was hit a little while back...It is always SMART to actually READ what is being said in the satchat rather than just asking if it is down or up...

Sometimes it takes a bit for the status to get updated. but it's usually pretty quick. It's current now and has been for awhile. Also remember to refresh your page as sometimes you get a cached version and it's old. ;)

hi, yes i know to refresh page and to check for old chats
which i always do, its just frustrating when you are treated badly for no reason. just my thoughts.Also, know to check forums .

what I usually do is if I see 500+ people in sat chat and the status is still green, I check the forums, and then I know it's an ecm and what receivers are envolved, as cham stated not all admins are online 24/7 lol and things happen, but don't be discouraged, like I said if there is 500+ people in sat chat that's a first clue right there that something is up :)
