The Motion to Seal is an interesting read.

It's nice to see a judge shoot down Echostar's bullying tactics and deny their attempts to put a legit company out of business, before any wrongdoing is proven.

Charlie's legal team likes to use restraining orders and civil seizure to effectively shut people down and before they even get a chance to defend themselves in court by seizing computers and equipment. Of course it's all in an effort to keep the defendant from "destroying or hiding evidence", but the real reason is because if they can seize all their computers and all of the completely legal FTA STBs, they can put them out of business while the case moves through the ever slow justice system. Then it won't matter if the defendants win or not, because their business is completely destroyed anyway.

Your right about that man, this looks like charlies plan try to use the legal system to monopolize the TV industry and infringe against statuatory laws like the freedom to do business, and using speculation. I hope they don't win any of those cases ash they can be used to monopolize the industry; watch them sue dvd recorders for being able to record a dishnetwork shows while they improve their dvr to record on dvds. Doesn't work like this , the courts have to uphold the freedom to do business without obstruction at all cost.

DN is taking down this industry fast and hard. They know they might not win every lawsuite but as long as they can tie the company up in court they cant be working on hacking the G3 card. Even if some one get a hack they cant use it cause most of there coders are being wached by the FBI.

Everyone should watch what they say on here cause you could be next. The less people know about you on here the better IMO.

The crazy thing is that they throw millons of dollars into lawsuits ageist everyone under the sun in a witch hunt but turn around and tell the Judge that they are losing millions. Hmmmmm I wonder why.....

I guess DN is trying to throw as many lawsuits out there and they hope some of them will stick.
Ask yourself this...how many people with FTA receivers would really call DN and subscribe (sub)??? I suspect, not too many. So how can DN state "we are losing millions to pircay!!" if, in the end, these so-called "signal pirates" aren't going to sub anyways???...just a thought.
I guess DN is very sensitive of "signal theft"...whatever.
